Game With RoboAwesome – Monster Hunter Tri

This coming Saturday, July 31st, starting a 7pm Pacific (8pm Mountain/9pm Central/10pm Eastern)we will be hosting our first ever “Game With RoboAwesome” night where we invite all of our readers to join us for an evening of awesome video gaming – like one big family. Aww!!!

First up it’s Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii. If you’re not already familiar with Monster Hunter you should really get acquainted. Monster Hunter Tri is essentially Phantasy Star Online on steroids. It has a very MMO-esque feel to it (without the very MMO-esque monthly fees) and you can play through a ton of quests with your friends online using a vastly improved social system that sets it apart from the Wii Friend Code system that everyone hates.

A couple tips - definitely pick up a Wii classic controller to go along with the game (you can find them bundled at some stores) and at the very least pick up a USB keyboard to easily communicate with others. The game supports Wii-Speak but you likely have a keyboard already sitting around and for this event it will be our preferred method of communication.

When you jump online starting at 7pm (see above for time zone differences) you can send a friend request to one of the following RoboAwesome guys to get in on the action:

Modus – that’s me!
Aron- that’s Aron “Ackbar” Deppert
D Turtle – that’s Carl B.

Don’t miss out folks! Mark it on your calendars! We’re going to have a very special prize giveaway for the highest ranked hunter that joins up. Start grinding! We can’t wait to meet you!

Your friend,

Modus
