I've seen that space marine somewhere!
Well hello there my minions. Did you miss me? Forgive my slight hiatus, but I’m back and I bring a peace offering. So if you have been keeping tabs you all know that Halo: Reach will be gracing us soon enough but just this week Bungie released a video trailer showing off their glorious multiplayer. Was there anything huge in it? Not really. Did it really just look like every other Halo multiplayer we have blown each other to smithereens in before? Yep, sure does. But there does seem to be a few new little things they have tossed in there for us.
Some new weapons and gadgets have been dropped in for us to get our grubby little mitts on. Notice one right off the bat from watching the video? That’s right some jet-pack action is heading out way. Now I’m not too sure how much were going to be able to utilize these packs, but I hope its for more than just really long jumps… I also took notice of a new weapon and slipped over to the Halo: Reach site to confirm my suspicion (Wanna read it yourself? Click here) A needle rifle? I don’t really understand this one too much. I mean so… it’s just a long range needler? Ok… Woot? Guess I’m just going to have to wait to try that one out myself. From what I could catch looks like there could be two new game modes as well; “Spartans Vs Elites” and “Invasion.” I would hope to all of you “Spartans Vs Elites” is a pretty self explanatory title, if not, just bang your head against the wall a few times and try reading it again. Now “Invasion” sounds like it could have some promise, could be something along the lines of one team holding position while another tries to overrun them. Might be fun.
The last little thing I picked up that I’ll share, I’ll just let you watch the video to see the rest, was the assassination feature! Yes ASSASSINATION! From the looks of it… sneak up behind an unsuspecting enemy and it will kick you into a 3rd-person shot of you putting them down with a sly little kill. I think that’s pretty damn awesome. Knowing that you can run up behind that Elite or Blue Team guy and jump on his back impaling him with an energy sword and then just jump off to mow down his friend with your shotgun its pretty enticing.
