Information has been released on Serebii regarding the newest event Pokemon to be released for owners of Pokemon Black/White and Pokemon Black/White 2.
Starting on March 4th and ending on March 24th, Pokefans can head to their local GameStop or EB Games and download this special Pokemon to their games. It is a psychic type Pokemon that has previously been unavailable to players, and it has the distinction of being the only Pokemon with more than one form who can transform during battle.
It also has really fancy hair!
There are several great movies to watch during the holiday season. My favorite one happens to be Gremlins, but to be honest, I hadn’t seen it in quite some time. Last night was a treat, as we sat down to give it a good watch. Noel pointed something out to me that got me thinking. Her one little observation made it very clear to me that Gremlins is the precursor to Pokemon.
Alright! Mogwi was caught! New data will be added to your pokedex for Mogwi.
If you haven’t seen Gremlins, it’s about a guy who buys a strange pet from the grandson of this Asian man for his son. The strange animal is very cute and smart. At the same time this pet has a few stipulations. It hates bright lights and the sun can kill it. Don’t give it water and don’t feed it after midnight. All this sounds easy enough, but of course things go wrong and someone spills water on it which causes it to give birth to like five other creatures. These creatures are much more devious and trick the boy into feeding them after midnight which allows them to evolve into green monsters that terrorize the town.
Interesting indeed….
Now that you get the basic idea, let’s tackle the theory at hand. The biggest and craziest thing about the movie is that no one, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON is more curious about what the hell these little furry creatures are. They just immediately accept it despite all the strange talents they posses. “Oh hey, it’s a small creature that can walk on two legs, play music instruments, kind of talk, read, and devise clever plans in order to trick humans. I see those things all the time, nothing weird about that! Let’s buy one for my son!” When it is given to the son, he hardly asks any sort of important questions about it, assuming it’s perfectly normal. This leads me to assume that apparently creatures like this must be showing up. Perhaps no one has seen this particular creature as of yet, but there must be some that are similar in nature to this one in this bizarre alternate universe. THIS leads me to believe that Pokemon are starting to slowly come out of the woodwork. These things must be one of the first. At this point people don’t have the technology for Poketech, but the creatures themselves are coming around. Mogwi are the beginning.

That’s a big point too. Gizmo, the name of the creature given to the boy Billy, often only says what sort of creature he is: Mogwi, in the same way that some Pokemon simply say what they are. Eventually he learns a few other words, but that’s not unusual for Pokemon is it? Gizmo also understands English very well and can convey feelings and emotions much like Pikachu relates to Ash. In fact Billy and Gizmo’s relationship is just like that of Ash and Pikachu. This shows how much different a relationship between humans and Pokemon can be compared to that of a human and a dog or a cat.

Evolution is another key to this theory. Often Pokemon will evolve into another form or gain different attributes through experience or when given something to stimulate this process. The key factor here is the latter. Much like a Pikachu can evolve into Raichu when exposed to an Electric Stone, Mogwi can evolve into “Gremlins” when fed after midnight. This radically changes their form and way of thinking. What’s better still is that in Gremlins 2, they evolve into more specialized gremlins or perhaps different types such as Flying type, Bug type, and even Plant type. Beginning on August 27th, USA Pokemasters can go to their local GameStop and grab their very own Keldeo, also known as the “Colt Pokemon”. Its unique Water/Fighting typing will make it a valuable addition to any team.
Once Keldeo is transferred to Pokemon Black/White 2 it will gain access to it’s additional form, and learn its signature move Secret Sword. This event won’t last long, so be sure you don’t miss out on adding this special Pokemon to your team!

Junichi Masuda, head of Game Freak (the company that develops Pokemon games) hinted on Twitter that big Pokemon news would be unveiled on the upcoming episode of Pokemon Smash. This comment followed a statement he made at a talk event on the 18th. A fan in the crowd asked if Masuda knew anything about the successor to Pokemon Black and White, to which he responded:
“Well… it’s not like I don’t know. [the crowd laughs]. I can’t answer. However… I wonder if I can say this? Watch Pokemon Smash. That’s all I can say.” Check out the full interview below (if you speak Japanese!).
Will this be the “Pokemon Gray” game that has been speculated about? It would be the perfect way for Nintendo to take a poo all over Sony’s release of the PSVita this weekend.
I CAN HAZ UR SOUL?
The Pokémon Company has announced that they will be releasing a special Mewtwo, one of the most powerful pocket monsters of the original generation.
Pokémon trainers worldwide will have an opportunity to obtain this extraordinarily powerful creature beginning on February 12th via the Nintendo WiFi Connection. In order to get your hands on this particular Mewtwo, you will need to have an English copy of Pokémon Black or White, a 3DS or any DS system, a high speed wireless internet connection, and you will have to complete enough of the main story to obtain the Pokédex in the game.
These WiFi events are a refreshing change from the previous brick-and-mortar ones, which forced large 30 year-old men (like myself) to hide in the corner of a game store, hoping no one would notice the DS in our hands as we downloaded the latest addition to our Pokémon collection. Now we can leave all of our Poké-shame at home, where it belongs.
